His place of birth is far less interesting than the Deva Stadium, thus he has gone up in my estimations, but not quite to his previous level.

I don't work for the Sheffield tourist board and if I ever do end up in a biassed position like that I shall resign from commenting. Or hang myself. Although working for a tourist board does sound fun, just think of all the idiots tourist tosspots I could make fun of and give entertaining misinformation to.

That post does read positively about Sheffield, but remember I have been negative in the past. I don't rate it that highly, but I do enjoy visiting Hillsborough.Tom Irvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707212109059322727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-88165980392719386522016-07-08T21:09:03.936+01:002016-07-08T21:09:03.936+01:00Do they still play at the Deva Stadium, half in Wa...Do they still play at the Deva Stadium, half in Wales and half in England? I think J.Chester was born in the ground.

Tom, I too was hoping for just two more trips to Sheffield but looks a tricky one trying to combine the south and west one, however good the transport is. Have you got a new job working for Sheffield tourist board? I have never known you ever be so positive about a place!

Well, the Rutland must have been a beige Ember Inn in the 70's if Chris Martin ran it! Oh, a cap holder, did it matter it wasn't attached to anything ;)Si 'BRAPA' Everitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17291680772889990384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-78048360127924071602016-07-07T23:19:41.370+01:002016-07-07T23:19:41.370+01:00Depends which bit of Chester he's from, surely...Depends which bit of Chester he's from, surely ?retiredmartinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15429804437739227082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-34981125197594896852016-07-07T21:00:01.212+01:002016-07-07T21:00:01.212+01:00I wish to defend the local pervert in the Princess...I wish to defend the local pervert in the Princess Royal. Saying hello to everybody is just good, simple, friendly conduct. I do it all the time, although I'm not ageist.

The bus and tram services in Sheffield are excellent. You should be able to get your 4 knocked off in 2 visits I would have thought, obviously with one on a Wednesday rather than Tuesday. There is even the odd orbital bus route which may come to your aid in avoiding passing through the centre.

I have the same opinion of the Welsh as I did a fortnight ago, and a lower opinion of James Chester, who I was sure was English. I reckon he really is English.Tom Irvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707212109059322727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-86990893541014147662016-07-07T07:55:05.339+01:002016-07-07T07:55:05.339+01:00Always interested in pub history me.
