I think it would have been more sensible for the government to allow pubs to reopen their doors on a Monday or mid-week, not a Saturday, giving them a few quieter days to test out their new systems and allow staff to become familiar with ne working practices. This might be what many pubs choose to do - there certainly doesn't seem to be much sign of many local pubs planning to open on Saturday. I'm sad we're not able to meet up for our planned BRAPA / Welly summer outing on Saturday but there will be other Saturdays.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17763235861845250633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-60402641785579352512020-07-01T02:24:43.680+01:002020-07-01T02:24:43.680+01:00I think you have made a sensible approach.
I real...I think you have made a sensible approach.

I really have no idea what will happen on Saturday - it could range from anything between a combination of people still being nervous to venture out and people put off by the restrictions to complete carnage as the likes of the Bournemouth beach gang invade for their July hedgehog parties. If the latter, I would hope it will calm down when the novelty wears off.

In any case, I am hopeful but not optimistic that travel around the country will become a little more acceptable with the increase, but in many cases not yet complete, increase of public transport services on Monday.

We'll probably meet again, but never win away again, one sunny day (actually I hope it rains - hate the sunshine)

Tom Irvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707212109059322727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-24763504926677441892020-07-01T00:09:32.122+01:002020-07-01T00:09:32.122+01:00The Russell Scandal that I alluded to above (see c...The Russell Scandal that I alluded to above (see comment on SWANVESTA blog) should be right up your Dunstable Street, given Baron Russell's title and its massive BRAPA significance.
