I am now in possession of a Rail Travel Voucher to cover the full cost of my Day Travelcard. 2-0 paper tickets on the day.

I hereby find you guilty of the charge of not stroking a pub pet. However, in light of the fact the stroking the pet may have been harmful and would cause greater harm, I am giving an unconditional discharge.Tom Irvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707212109059322727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-85533342549487063932017-02-06T22:38:05.924+00:002017-02-06T22:38:05.924+00:00Streatham I have had mentally pencilled in for Cry...Streatham I have had mentally pencilled in for Crystal Palace day for a while now. Possibly something along the lines of Streatham Hill, Streatham Common, Gipsy Hill, Crystal Palace. Obviously how far we get will depend on whether we enter the ground. Happily the really dicey pub in Battersea is no longer in the guide.

For the record I should also state that I invited you to a pre-season friendly at Blunder Park.

Those Virgin cardboard ticket holders are crap. Any Transpennine managed station should give you a three window plastic one, not sure what Northern would give you at Leeds. I will happily take you a new one to Leicester if you don't manage to get one before then.Tom Irvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707212109059322727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-88613358062369418972017-02-06T22:16:18.398+00:002017-02-06T22:16:18.398+00:00I will let you off Tom re South Norwood though the...I will let you off Tom re South Norwood though there will be BRAPA charges coming your way if you constantly block my efforts to get to Streatham / Cleethorpes / Grimsby over the next two years.

As for my own breaches of the code, I plead guilty re the Nitwit card (but too many different cards to carry is my reason for using it, plus my flimsy wallet keeps breaking and York railway station had no replacements and could only offer me a two part Virgin Trains one which i dislike) and innocent on all other charges.Si 'BRAPA' Everitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17291680772889990384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-12379427106571093232017-01-29T22:55:38.677+00:002017-01-29T22:55:38.677+00:00I find it remarkable I didn't make a note of S...I find it remarkable I didn't make a note of South Norwood. I had written only 'NFFD London'. Unless there is considered reasonable doubt, I will just have to plead insanity.

Do you wish to submit any mitigation to the breaches of the Code of Conduct?Tom Irvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707212109059322727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-28739297572538545182017-01-27T18:43:48.674+00:002017-01-27T18:43:48.674+00:00Well in relation to point 1, me and Dad had "...Well in relation to point 1, me and Dad had "Tom - South Norwood" in various notes/diaries so you have been imprisoned for that, but released cos it was a great pub, like an even better Gidea Park.

I'm still waiting to see a lettuce salad, but I do understand what you mean and think Dad was perhaps overly nice about Beckenham.

You were quite shady on the Gipsy Hill issue on the day, I thought, but your fantastic attention to detail saves you.

Totally agree with Shortlands Tav summary, it seemed like it was going to be a bit (s)wanky but when you scratched beneath the south london veneer, there was some welcome local grit! That isn't rhyming slang.

I plead guilty re tickets, re stroking pub pets, I may need to tweak the rules - given the choice, I'd rather stroke the two fish than the many dogs, slobbery things they are. Glad about the additional half, though you may have to charge me on day three 'pub limits'.

Great day out, thanks Tom! I'd plead not guilty to it if it were an offence I was being tried for.

From the accidental long routeing street, I thought that Beckenham seemed overly posh. The pub happily doesn't reflect that. I am still baffled by the idea of a tomato and onion salad.

The misgivings about Gipsy Hill were specified. No sight of a train when passing on the tram line, the rails didn't have the shine you would expect of a line with 4 trains an hour, indeed it looked more like 4 trains a day. The third rail still had the melted Friday night frost.

Shortlands Tavern was an unusual recovery act. It suffered heavy points deductions early on for the coffee machine and crap plastic flowers being the first things I saw, yet somehow managed to recover as a buzzing community local.

My reading of the Code of Conduct is that the additional half isn't a breach. However:
Simon Roger Everitt, you are hereby charged that, contrary to the BRAPA Code of Conduct, you did, through failure to carry you Network Railcard, not have your tickets organised sufficiently in advance. In addition, you are also charged with failure to stroke pub pets, namely the fish in the Joiners Arms. How do you plead to the charges brought before this court?

Congratulations on 1,000 pubs.

I am Tom Irvin, I smile when I want.Tom Irvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707212109059322727noreply@blogger.com
