I know what you mean though, certain pub practices do seem a bit over elaborate in these times, Cranleigh's text in and out policy for example!

Very strange re the buses. Without opening can of worms, trains are a bit strange too with no guards, open ticket barriers etc. but don't wanna say anything I'll regret or get questioned on at a later date in court! I just thought it'd be 'nice' to save a Guildford GBG pub or two to fall back on later in the week if things got really bad. I think you are right about Drummond, just managing to stay on the 'alright' side! I have no objection if they have an alternate system suitable for dinosaurs as well but quite frankly if it is compulsory to do these things then I lack the ability to enter the pub. I'm sure I won't be missed.

Buses are strange with payment at the minute. Just this week, I have been the first ever person young enough to pay and I have had a company dominated so much by pensioners they have abandoned fares as it is cheaper to just lose the money than get contactless machines. On a rural route the driver was probably so used to old biddies scanning their passes that he quite simply forgot to charge you.Tom Irvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707212109059322727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6677885556404476308.post-91130967374499643472020-08-05T21:36:27.169+01:002020-08-05T21:36:27.169+01:00The Grantley Arms until the last year or so had a ...The Grantley Arms until the last year or so had a slightly more interesting Friary Meux pub sign, didn't think a lot of the pub though. I'd like a Hampshire trip soon.

Agree re Drummond wallpaper, it is rather nice, and that pint, am now wondering if it was Tribute at all or just some craft murk in disguise to appease me, the oldest ale drinker in there!

The bag is great isn't it?
